Mrs. Sorensen teaches Art and Drama in our school.  And although she feels she is not the greatest artist, a couple of years ago she did make a mask of clay that she is very proud of.   In fact, Drama and Art were her first interests, but she wanted to try something new and went into a Biology course.  However, she nearly failed the introductory course so she went back to what she loved.

After Mrs. Sorensen got married, she and her husband went to work at a two teacher school up north.  Her husband was the principal and she was the “staff”.  Eventually, Mr. and Mrs. Sorensen would be back teaching together at Crowther Memorial Junior High School.  Now she teaches both Drama and Art and says she loves them both equally.  Since coming to Crowther Memorial, Mrs. Sorensen has participated in drama productions every year. Among the many productions she has directed, some still stand out for their own reasons.  One such play was a musical called “Recess”.  She also enjoyed the plays “How to Eat Like A Child” and “A Tomb with a View”.  Despite all of the hard work going into the plays she still really enjoys it.  Mrs. Sorensen claims her worst play nightmare would be someone calling in one hour before the play, saying they can’t make it.  Let’s hope she never has to deal with that one.

On the lighter side of things, we thought we would ask Mrs. Sorensen a couple of light hearted questions.  If she were a flavor of chips, she’d be All Dressed, because you never know what they’ll taste like.  If she could chose a different name, although Glenda is quite lovely, Mrs. Sorensen would choose Anastasia because it is a fun name.

Originally, Mrs. Sorensen picked the name Felicia but then decided on Anastasia.  Always drawn to the color blue, Mrs. Sorensen would choose to be that color for the rest of her life.
