Mr. Sackett has been teaching for 8 years now. He wanted to start teaching because he said that he looked up to some of his teachers and he thought it would be a fun job to do.  He says that the best part of being a teacher is getting to see the students’ improvements throughout the year. Something that students can do to make his job easier is bringing him doughnuts every day, preferably from Rocky’s Bakery, oh ya, and to do their homework.

Outside of school, Mr. Sackett is a very active guy.  His favorite sports are snowboarding and skateboarding. He has been skateboarding since he was in grade 7, and snowboarding since he was in grade 10. His favorite place to snowboard is Lake Louise.  Last season he bought his two kids, Colby (6) and Jaxon (4), snowboards and now they all snowboard together, creating the perfect mix of family time and fun.  Maybe one day they will be as good as Mr. Sackett.  Mr. Sackett is married to his wife Kerry, who according to him is “cute”.
         
Mr. Sackett’s favorite holiday is Summer Break because it is the longest.  He said if he won the lottery he would wear brand new socks everyday, because everybody knows that’s the best feeling ever.  Screeching Weasel is his favorite band. They are a rock band. When we asked Mr. Sackett if he could live anywhere in the whole world where would it be? And he answered, “Canmore”. That is some stuff about Mr. Sackett, and he seems like a very cool teacher!
