Ms. Joanne Romaniuk enjoys teaching Home Ec. because the class sizes are smaller. She also loves the smells of the food and enjoys the chance to cook, which is one of the things she loves to do best. She likes to talk to everyone at the school and see what’s going on. Although she loves teaching, she says that the worst thing about being a teacher would be the marking and the disciplining.

Visiting with friends, reading, scrap booking, and traveling are some of the things Ms. Romaniuk likes to do outside of the classroom. She also enjoys going to the arena to watch some hockey and lacrosse. Her favorite kind of gum is Dentyne Ice, and her favorite carton character is the Road Runner. The most exciting thing she has done outside of school would have been when she went to Greece. If Ms. Romaniuk had one wish it would be that she could travel anytime and anywhere to see different sites, people, and cultures.

When we asked Ms. Romaniuk what her favorite childhood memory was she said she loved going to her Grandma’s and playing with her cousins. And her most favorite memory of high school was when she saved up enough money to buy a leather coat!

Ms. Romaniuk is a good person to talk to and very fun, she likes to laugh at things and have a good time. She is kind of quiet but she can be heard when she has something she wants to say and put out there. She’s very adventurous and she likes to get out and explore the world and see what it has to offer. Ms. Romaniuk is someone you can learn from easily and we had fun interviewing her. If you ever need someone to talk she is the person you can count on.
