Have you ever wondered why people don’t mess with the big guy, Mr. Koller, when he’s walking down the halls?  Well, if you knew that he played “Defensive/ Offensive Tacklein high school for his football team, perhaps you’d think differently.

As to be expected, our first question for him was a simple, ”When and why did you start playing football?”

With no hesitation at all, Mr. Koller replied with a quick, “started in high school, grade ten actually. Why? Well, it’s the best sport ever.”

Between laughs, our next question came up: ”What is, or was, your favorite football gear brand?

Mr. Koller, stepping back and thinking for a moment, finally said, ”it would have to be Underarmor.”

Next came the really intense, really personal…”Do you have a family, if not; do you plan on making one any time soon?”

With a shocked look on his face, and redness spreading across his face, he answered with a quick and easy, ”Oh… Ummm… awkward… I am single…”

Changing topics abruptly, we ventured away from his personal life and asked, ”When did you start your teaching career?”

This is my first full year of teaching, although I started in February of last year.”

With cute smiles on and a smoothly said, ”And what got you into teaching junior high?”

Mr. Koller looked at both Riley and I, laughed and said smoothly, ”Well, junior high students are just so fun!”

Going back to the whole football fetish, we then asked, ”Who was your favorite CFL or NFL player, when you were playing?”

It took a few seconds for him to collect his thoughts, but he managed to say. ”Bill Romanowski.”

After struggling to find the spelling for Romanowski, the interview began once again. ”What are your hobbies outside of school?”

Mr. Koller, without needing time to think hard said, ”I like archery, and model airplanes!”
Giggles were passed around from the three of us, but then we got back down to business with.

”Do you have any vacationing spots you just can’t get enough of?”
Looking excited, Koller replied with a joyful, ”LAS VEGAS!!”
Perhaps Mr. Koller is a high roller?

For the last question of the oh so fun interview, we just had to ask,
”First word that comes to mind when you hear ‘CROWTHER COUGARS’  “

Stepping back, and fiddling with his thumbs… Mr. Koller seemed to be stuck! Embarrassed, he spoke up,
”Umm… Umm… Umm… GO COUGARS?!?!”

Mr. Koller is a very interesting man if you take the time to talk to him. We’d suggest asking him questions, and taking an interest in what he says, because some of the things that come out of his mouth are hilarious.
