Jessica and I decided to interview Mr. Iversen because he is by far the coolest and “Most in-style” teacher.  Mr. Iversen likes to spice things up a little.  He loves to tell stories about skateboarding and his great scars.  Not to mention he has a great sense of humor.  This brings us to our first question which of course was about skateboarding.  He replied with a simple answer. “I was about six years old when I first started skateboarding, I mostly do grinding and carving.”

We then got into the more personal questions.  We asked him “How old were you when you had your first girlfriend.”

His face went a little red and he had to think, way, way, way back in the day, and soon answered with “I was about 13, in grade 8”

Trying to hold in giggling, we quickly asked, “What was your future career back in high school?”

Without hesitation he said, “A Fire Fighter!”  Jessica and I looked at each other and thought he had gone the complete opposite direction in careers.

So we asked “why a fire fighter?”

Mr. Iversen got a small grin on his face and answered with “the ladies liked fire fighters back then.” We told you he had a great sense of humor!

We then asked some family questions. Mr. Iversen has 3 kids, Meaghan, who is 14, Cameron, who is 12, and Liam, who is 7 years old.  He also mentioned his wife Patty was his best friend.

Next we got back into some more interesting questions like, “Where is your favorite place to go?”

“To the cabin in the Okanagan” he said as if thinking about how exciting it was there.

Then looking at his brand name shoes, we asked him “so, where do you get your clothes?”

He giggled and replied with, “Where ever they are on sale!”  Talk about style on a teacher’s budget!
