Mr. Hvingelby is one of the many fun teachers here at Crowther Memorial Junior high.
He teaches Drama, Health, and Social. But his favorite subject to teach is Social because he enjoys the challenge of making history interesting.
His hobbies are playing video games, and collecting comics. Along with all of that, he enjoys reading graphic novels. When he’s not absorbed in an imaginary world of superheroes and supervillains, Mr. Hvingleby loves to play rugby. According to him, rugby is the best sport out there because it’s a great social activity. "Teamwork is very important and only the best people play".
At home, Mr. Hvingelby seems to have a softer side. He has a pet cat named Gilbert. However when I asked him what his favorite animal is, he had to think about it for a moment then said, "The pig because I love bacon, and ham is awesome too." Maybe the softer side was overstated!
Trying to steer the interview in a new direction, I asked him which Superhero he would be if he could be any, and he responded with a well thought out answer. I had to wonder if he had been asked this question before? He told me that "it had to be Batman because he's one of the coolest Superheroes and he can take on Superman. Even though Superman has superpowers and Batman doesn't."
