A typical day in Mr. Ericksteen’s life would probably be a very busy one.  It would start with him and Mrs. Ericksteen, who conveniently works at the same school, waking up early. They would have to get themselves and the kids, Hunter and Amorin, who are almost 4 and 1, ready to go to work and the day home.

They would get to work at Crowther Memorial Junior High, where he has been teaching for nine years, and get ready for math or physical education, which happen to be his favorite subjects.

Mr. Ericksteen would get to interact with the students, one of his favorite parts of the job and depending on the day, coach school teams. One of them being volleyball, which he played in high school. Mr. Ericksteen also played football, badminton, track, curling, and even golf. His favorite sport, though, is hockey. He has been playing for 28 years, since he was five! His son Hunter is already showing lots of interest in all sports. He is not quite old enough to start sports but can already hit a baseball over the backyard fence.

At the end of the day, Mr. Ericksteen might have some marking to do and if he gets the time he would love to spend time with his family. He loves spending time with his wife of 5 years, who he actually met at Crowther Memorial.  Mr. Ericksteen also likes to play computer games and read books.

Mr. Ericksteen moved here from Gull Lake, Saskatchewn,10 years ago and misses it more every year. He is a farm boy at heart and loves going back to Saskatchewan to visit his family. He has also gone to Italy and traveled around Britain for 21 days.

Mr. Ericksteen works hard at everything he does and is a great example for this school. He shows commitment to his work, family, and school and is an excellent role model to follow.
