Mrs. Bakken has been teaching for five years, although she just got back from a maternity leave this year. She missed school but she was also very busy with her newborn son, Kieran. Her husband of six years was also very pleased about the new addition to the family.  Both Mrs. Bakken and her husband keep themselves very busy enjoying every moment they can with Kieran… he’s one lucky boy to have parents that adore him so much.

Aside from her family, Mrs. Bakken has many hobbies.  She adores taking pictures of her one year old son and also enjoys taking pictures of nature.   In fact she is well known around town for her stunning photographs.  When she’s not busy looking through her camera at the world, Mrs. Bakken can be found traveling the world.  She has already been to twenty countries and has got plenty of pictures to show for her adventures. She is planning on going to Africa in three years.

She also loves scrapbooking, hiking, reading, camping, and traveling. Charlie Brown Specials are her favorite cartoon to watch. She plays lots of sports including slow pitch, curling, and swimming. Before her teaching career she was a recreational therapist for seven years and an educational assistant for one year. This is what inspired her to become a teacher in the end.
