We walked into the class room and Mrs. Sohn was already at the door to meet us. She asked us to sit down at this table and we began to ask her our questions.
We asked her what her favorite sport is. She thought about it for a second then said “I am not really into sports, but I like to bike and I like to watch hockey”. Even though she’s not into sports for herself, she is always glad to support her son. Her son plays hockey for the Drumheller Thrashers Junior A hockey team. He is 21 years old and his name is Josh.
Mrs. Sohn has been working in schools for 13 years now. When we asked her what is you favorite part of your job? She thought for a minute then she said, “being around the students and staff and having fun”.
We followed up with a question few teachers ever hear. We asked what students can do to make her job easier. She thoughtfully answered that when the students are having fun and making school exciting for themselves and are in a good mood it makes her job way easier. So do your part… get happy!
We then moved to questions dealing with her outside interests.
Mrs. Sohn has many hobbies, including reading, cooking, camping, boating, and entertaining friends and family. Where does she find the time? We then asked what her favorite food was she replied “Man I love food” but her favorite dishes are pastas. When we asked what her favorite holiday is she quickly answered Christmas, she says because she enjoys being with her family. It’s no surprise Mrs. Sohn is working at the school, when she was younger she said she always wanted to work with kids. And now she makes a difference in a kid’s life everyday. |
