As a team
of world famous researchers, geographers, photojournalists and artists you
have been commissioned by National Geographic Magazine to tell the
story of one of the following regions of North America:
Audience: The Editorial Board of National Geographic Magazine is looking for a display related to the regions of North America that is so compelling and interesting that it should be featured in their magazine. The editors are particularly interested in the special human and physical characteristics that distinguishes the regions in North America. They also want to be able to understand how human and physical forces have changed the environment of these areas. The editors are also very interested in knowing about the unique problems and issues that these regions face now or may face in the future. Purpose: To convince the editorial board of National Geographic Magazine to publish your photojournal in their magazine. Task: Create a photojournal to tell the story of your region. Use a combination of images, sound and text to convey the important features of this region. Create a display about your region of North America that is so compelling and interesting that it will be featured in an issue of National Geographic Magazine. You must depict the special human and physical characteristics that distinguish your region of North America from all of the other regions being investigated. You must also illustrate how human and physical forces have changed the environment of your region. In addition, your team is being asked to illustrate the unique problems, challenges and/or issues that this region is currently facing or will face in the future because of human or physical impacts. |
