The Holocaust was one of the most tragic disasters to ever take place in the history of mankind and will never be forgotten.

Hitler and the Nazi party gained power. Their goal was to exterminate all the Jews.

How Could One Man Be so Cruel?

Because of this man the Holocaust began. He was the leader of the Nazi party, Adolf Hitler.

When Did All This Happen?:

The Nazi party gained power in 1933 and didn’t lose power until 1945. The Nazi party had taken complete control of Germany during this time period.

The German Reich

Camps were set up everywhere throughout Germany and there were hundreds by the 1930s. These camps were later set up in Czechoslovakia, Austria, Poland, Holland, and France.

Why Did This Happen?

We will never know why Hitler started all of this, he was a racist, evil, persuasive man and people believed in him.

To Many, He was a Hero

Dr. Eugene Lazowski is a hero to many. He saved over 7000 Jewish lives without any violence. He made a fake epidemic. He told the Germans they all had typhus and they left these innocent people alone.

We shall never forget the brave people who risked their lives to save the lives of others Known to many as Heroes!

The Victims

Sadly over 6,000,000 Jews were killed. Other minorities such as Gypsies, homosexuals, and people with disabilities were also targeted for extermination by the Nazis.

 

We shall never forget those who lost their lives during this tragedy!

Anne Frank went into hiding for 25 months like many other Jews.

She was captured and deported to a concentration camp. She died of Typhus in 1945. She only lived to be fifteen years old. Her diary has inspired many and she will never be forgotten.

Never Let it Happen Again

We as a society have learned a great deal. We learned that racism is wrong and we must never allow this to happen again.
