Ok, here's what's going down the drain at our housesoaps, cleansers, shampoo, toothpaste, paper products, q-tips, plastic applicators, um, hair dye and left over medicine. Oops, and Pepsi, and paint and paint thinners, nail polish remover, hair, dental floss, human waste of course, and a few dead goldfish, tons of kitchen waste, some of my favorite jewelry and wads of gum. What are we doing? Are we inadvertently poisoning ourselves? We wouldn't dare put that stuff in our mouths, but we put it down the drain. Where does all of this stuff go? We would like to know, because so far, we just toss all these contaminants, right ...
Are we sure that our actions are not going to harm us? Are we contributing to the poison cycle? The big question is how can we be sure that the journey that pollutants take from our home, do not find their way back to us, back into our homes and back into the water that we drink! |
