A Guide to Living with DIRT

You may or may not like it, but either way, you still have to sit through it. If you’re actually going to read through DIRT, close this guide, because you really don’t need it. But for the rest of us, read on.

First of all, I’m just going to say I’m not sure what other teachers think about DIRT and they may act differently from the one I’ve got. So act cautiously! I’m not responsible for any trouble you may get into for reading this guide.

  • Anyway, there are teachers who don’t care if you actually read or if you even pretend to read. If you have one of these teachers, that’s possibly one of the ways to go. The pretending part, I mean.
  • There are also teachers who don’t care if you read notes your friends have passed to you. If you have on of those teachers, another way to go.
  • You could also sleep through DIRT, but this might end up being slightly embarrassing, you know from snoring, talking, or drooling when you sleep. Nobody likes to find a puddle of spit on their desk when they walk in.
  • You could draw/ doodle if you are so inclined. Make them good ones, and ones you won’t get in trouble for if they fall into the wrong hands.
  • Here’s a thought… you could actually read… I know, sounds strange, but that’s what DIRT is for.

Okay, I’ve listed a few things to do during DIRT; I think I should list some things NOT to do in DIRT.

  • Most teachers don’t like the sound of crunching chips or slurping slurpies. The silence makes it very easy for teachers to hear your food. This will be swiftly removed, sometimes thrown out… Save it for later.
  • Texting on your cell phone is also not a very good thing to do. The silence of DIRT again makes it very easy for teachers to hear the clickity clack. These will be taken away, possibly till the end of the day or longer. Again, save it for later.
  • Talking… Different teachers can stand different levels. This is one you need to be careful around. If it’s mostly whispers, I think you’ll be mostly okay. Though, the silence of DIRT makes it easy for teachers to hear even that.

Well, that’s pretty much everything I can think of to do with DIRT. Until next guide, have fun in DIRT.

Fun Fact: DIRT is said in this guide 12 times, including the one at the start of this sentence…
