Survival Guide for Girls

What to do when you randomly get your period.

  • Always have feminine products in your locker in like a make up bag.
  • If not ask a friend.
  • Or you can always go to the office and get some there
  • When getting feminine product out of your locker and there are people around, simply put it up your sleeve
  • If you happen to not have a sweater or long sleeve shirt put it along your waste line
  • Don’t be embarrassed about having it, every girl has it

What to do if you’re being bullied.

  • Tell someone that you trust
  • If you tell a teacher they will never tell the bully you told
  • Walk away. It’s better to not say anything than say something wrong
  • Stick in a group. As they say “safety in numbers”.
  • Try not to let the bully know you are upset

What to do when you’re hanging with the wrong crowd.

  • Say no
  • Don’t let peer pressure affect you
  • If you’re asked to go out and you feel like something bad is going to happen then just make up an excuse not to go out, you can always blame your parents
  • Be an individual don’t think you have to do something just cause everyone else is
  • If things get out of hand talk to someone you trust

How do you stay away from all the drama?

  • If one of your friends is dissing your other friend either stick up for them or don’t say anything at all.
  • Don’t add drama to the situation like starting rumors
  • Try not to spread the gossip you hear. Just because you heard it doesn’t mean it is true.
  • Have close friends that you can trust
  • Just enjoy life, we are all young still
  • Find friends that you have fun with

So these are some ways to survive the school life. If you are a girl and have any questions you can go to www.beinggirl.ca. This can answer most of your girly questions. Don’t forget to have fun and live life to the fullest. If you have any other questions we have “Ask Andy” on the cmjhs website and that can also help with your questions.
