10 Ways to Avoid Embarrassing Situations
1. Everyone falls once in a while, it’s nothing big but it can be embarrassing. Watch where you’re stepping, but don’t always look at your feet. It avoids tripping and running into people or lockers.
If this does happen, don’t be worried, just laugh about it. Laughing covers up being embarrassed about tripping, and later on in the day joke about it.
2. For girls one of the most embarrassing things to happen is for your skirt or dress to be caught in your underwear. And you walk out of the bathroom not knowing the embarrassment you’ll be facing; because your dress is caught in your underwear and no one tells you or notices. IF this happens . . . well all you can really do is pull out your dress. To avoid this from happening, ladies ALWAYS check your outfit before walking out of the bathroom.
3. There’s tripping and then there’s slipping; whether it’s on water, ice, or just the floor, it happens. It’ll be funny to the people around you or to the people who see you slip (on nothing). But remember one thing if this happens, get up and laugh, think of it as ‘you’d be laughing if it were someone else’
To avoid slipping watch for pylons, those “slippery when wet” signs, and teachers or people walking around an area. Or maybe even shoes that don’t have any grip.
4. Are you one of those people who’ve forgotten what class comes first and you walk into the wrong class? And everybody is looking at you like you’re crazy? Well don’t be worried it’s something to laugh about and joke about. To avoid this be sure you know what class is next or follow someone who knows what class you have next. If they walk into the wrong room, at least it wasn’t you first, or at least it was funny together.
5. It’s after school; you’re tired or just not paying attention. Your mom is supposed to pick you up and you’re looking for her and spot your van. You start walking towards it and jump in long enough to realize you just got into someone else’s vehicle. Those little mistakes are the funniest, so don’t worry about it just jump out, well first say sorry, if you’re not too embarrassed, and go tell a friend. Laugh about it. To avoid the humiliation make sure it’s really your vehicle, look at the person in the front before getting in.
6. You’re looking for your friend and you spot her a couple of people in front you, so you start calling your friend’s name. But it turns out you were calling the wrong person. Don’t worry about it; there are a lot of kids at school and you’re bound to find someone who looks like someone else.
To avoid this embarrassing situation, make sure it’s really the person you want before you start calling your friend’s name. Take a second look and look at the clothes and the hair.
7. Well not everyone looks at their feet while they walk, and not everyone always gets toilet paper stuck to their shoe. But it does happen, not often but it definitely can if you’re not careful. If this happens to you, take the toilet paper off your shoe. Shake it off it couldn’t be as bad as getting it caught in your pants.
To avoid this from happening be sure when you walk out of the bathroom you take one little glance at your shoe. Maybe even your butt.
8. Bathrooms are prime time for embarrassment; we have dress caught in underwear, toilet paper caught on shoe, and there’s also having your fly down in public. This is definitely embarrassing, especially if someone notices. I guess all you can do is thank the person who told you and be careful next time, because everyone forgets once and a while.
But to avoid this all from happening, make sure you take one quick look before walking out of a stall. Maybe even a second glance in the mirror is good.
9. Hallways, hallways, hallways. Students and teachers walk down them all the time; but mostly walking into a wall, locker, person, window, or door happens to students. It’s funny when this happens especially when it’s not to you. All of a sudden something comes out of no where and hits you smack in the face. It’s something to laugh about at the time and later on in the day. So don’t get too stressed.
To avoid this please BE CAREFUL! Walking can be tough, especially when people are around, so take a look before you step somewhere. Or even stop to check.
10. Well what’s an article about ways to avoid embarrassing moments without one about farting? Farting is a funny word and has a funny smell, actually a gross smell…most of the time. But people DO get gas, and it’s nothing to feel bad about. And if you’re a guy it’s definitely something to laugh about, but don’t do it just for the attention. It’s kind of rude to some people, especially teachers. But incase you’re ashamed of it, don’t eat things or drink things that will make your stomach hurt, or get all bubbly. Stick to things that you know won’t give you gas.
~**~ One thing to keep in mind if you get embarrassed is just laugh about it, shake it off. There’s nothing you can do or say to change what’s already been done. Those little things that make you blush are fun memories. And something to laugh about later on, life is supposed to be fun, getting embarrassed just makes it way more fun. Don’t feel bad if you slip on the floor, walk into a locker, or have toilet paper stuck to your shoe, you’re NOT perfect, no one is. So don’t try to be, you can’t cover little mistakes up, sometimes its just a part of who you are. Be yourself and don’t be afraid to laugh at yourself, it makes the getting embarrassed process go away a lot faster. ~**~
